Kind of a Newbie

ok, im new to this thing. i have a small black modem [scientific atlantic 2101] or something like that.. i dont have it infront of me right now BUT. heres the problem..

i've had it for about a month.. and now its not working.. on the status steps it is stuck on "UPSTREAM..." which is like the third step.. i have no clue on how to get my internet back up.. please help?

i know i haven't implied much info about my problem.. if theres anything you guys need to know.. let me know and ill reply right back .. thanks.

magic wont work so need more info like what network your on and stuff like that, anyways i guess the downstream is locking so change your mac as a start
