Hi guys, could anyone tell me what dir in telnet the following commands are supposed to be executed under on a 5101 running hax diag?

COMMAND: ifShow
inetShow
udpShow
hostShow
arpShow

I ask because I have tried them under numerous dirs and all i get is "no such command"

Is there info anywhere that specifies what dir each command is meant to be executed under?

Sorry ABMJR, I must be missing something, did you mean change to command dir? Thats the default dir, if I execute any of the above under that all I get is :

Active Command Table: CM DOCSIS Commands (CM)

CM

CM> ifShow

Error - Unknown command: 'ifShow'

CM> inetShow

Error - Unknown command: 'inetShow'

CM> udpShow

Error - Unknown command: 'udpShow'

CM> arpShow

Error - Unknown command: 'arpShow'

CM> hostShow

Error - Unknown command: 'hostShow'

CM>

If I am missing something, I really apologize for my ignorance. I want to test further and this is holding me back. Thanks for your time.

DESCRIPTION:
Enables or disables the specified feature. Most of these only take effect
the next time the CM 'resets the MAC' and registers with the CMTS. The
feature parameter is one of the following:

scan -- Scan single DsChan only
bpi -- Baseline Privacy
concat -- Concatenation
frag -- Fragmentation
phs -- Payload Header Suppression
igmp -- IGMP Multicast
rate -- Rate Shaping
docsig -- Turns optimized initial ranging (bisection) on or off.
force_cfgfile -- Force a specified config file if using DHCP.
AckCel -- Enables or disables Broadcom's Patent Pending AckCel
Technology for the DOCSIS upsteam.

EXAMPLES:
enable docsis11 true -- Enables DOCSIS 1.1 features.
enable rng 0 -- Disables one-line RNG-RSP messages.

Hey drewmerc, thanks for the response, also congrats on becoming mod on sbh.

I am aware of the dir and help commands. Executing "help" under the different dirs will list what commands are available under said dir, the command followed by "help" will further explain or even give an example of said command. But I have been unable to see a dir on the 5101 that lists any of the above commands and others. I am aware that not all commands are listed as some are secret and whatnot. But I cannot figure out why I can't execute the commands I listed in my initial post, I must be missing a dir!!

Thank you for the full list drew, thats awesome. Cheers.

not on the node I am on ABMJR. Telnet connection stays connected in even after modem registers and goes operational.

interesting they don't seem to be there when looking at the extracted strings (left is haxor, right is mod)
someday i'll get round to finishing my mindless research

I don't understand this at all. If I do a "find_command" for a command I know exists and is in a dir it finds it and shows its path
i.e. CM> find_command igmpShow

this returns

/docsis_ctl/igmpShow

but if I search for any of the others like udpShow, inetShow, arpShow I get

CM> find_command udpShow

udpShow not found

CM> find_command ipShow

ipShow not found

CM> find_command icmpShow

icmpShow not found

Am I doing something wrong?

Just saw your response drewmerc, that is so weird. Is there anything I can do to enable these commands in Haxo 1.1 rev39-DIAG? Or am I SOL.

Those are not the only commands that are missing btw, there are more.
