Mr Florida, I also noticed that you were recommending sb5101 in other threads, I do have one in my garage, I used it 2-3 years ago, I tried to connect it today, all lights come up, but when i go online it forwards to comcast website that says "unable to access the network due to cbl modem that is no longer supported by Comcast".
So I thought it is garbage as well? Appears that it is still fixable?
