Error Meanings

there are no useful certs on a 4100 unfortunately (that i know of, not played with a 4x00 series modem for a loooooong time)

well the cert is base of the security of the modem so it's very much tied to the modem

yes (but they have always been able to do that so it's not as bad as it sounds. cost, time and effort is what stops them)

is modem is given is signed cert at the time its made all are different

if you want a cert you need to take them from a 5100(bcm3348) or above modem
but as you have now said there are 4x00 based modems still on your network have you tried spoofing a 4x00 modem on the haxor modem
