Error Meanings - bigdaddyzz - 03-01-2011 I keep getting these errors : 2011-01-03 09:09:57 Notice I401.0 TLV-11 - unrecognized OID 2011-01-03 09:09:27 Critical Resetting the cable modem due to docsDevResetNow 2011-01-03 08:57:45 Critical I001.0 REG-RSP - invalid format or not recognized now from the reasearch that ive done i know these errors change as you change the bpi settings. i can get rid of REG-RSP error but the others i cannot. Is this due new security measures where my mac aint matching with my certs? also if thats the case how do i obtain a cert to log in? Los Angeles/Time warner any help will be appreciated. RE: Error Meanings - drewmerc - 03-01-2011 well done for reading your spot on now how to get certs, you need to dump them from a provisioned(subscribed) modem best ways to dump them 5101 = jtag 5100 = factory mode tool (jtag will work as well) webstar/cisco/sa dpc2100 = snmp (jtag will work as well) tho my way is if the modem has a noisy bootloader just load haxor to ram and dump RE: Error Meanings - bigdaddyzz - 03-01-2011 well im on timewarner and i believe they run webstar modem altho i dont have a webstar i actully have a sb4100 with service. the modem im triying to make work is a sb5101. So sb4100 --> sb5101 how would i grab a cert from a sb4100? or would any modem with service work? and how is a cert tied to a modem? can they track down the source of the modem? or is it one generic cert file for all modems on that provider? RE: Error Meanings - drewmerc - 03-01-2011 there are no useful certs on a 4100 unfortunately (that i know of, not played with a 4x00 series modem for a loooooong time) (03-01-2011, 10:54 AM)bigdaddyzz Wrote: how is cert cert tied to the modemwell the cert is base of the security of the modem so it's very much tied to the modem (03-01-2011, 10:54 AM)bigdaddyzz Wrote: can it be tracedyes (but they have always been able to do that so it's not as bad as it sounds. cost, time and effort is what stops them) (03-01-2011, 10:54 AM)bigdaddyzz Wrote: is it one generic cert file for all modems on that provider?is modem is given is signed cert at the time its made all are different if you want a cert you need to take them from a 5100(bcm3348) or above modem but as you have now said there are 4x00 based modems still on your network have you tried spoofing a 4x00 modem on the haxor modem RE: Error Meanings - bigdaddyzz - 03-01-2011 no i havent and by that u mean : go on the stealth section and just input info i would grab from http://www.flickr.com/photos/fsse-info/4089472830/#/ ? RE: Error Meanings - drewmerc - 03-01-2011 that pic is a 5101? i thought you had a 4200 if your just using the pic for reference then yes that info RE: Error Meanings - bigdaddyzz - 04-01-2011 allright got it to work. thanx but now this raises more questions. if my isp lets my 4100 go onlline without no cert does that mean there isint many security mesures? and if thats the case can i spoof my 5101 to act as a 4100 and input a mac of lets say webstar modem or other and it will get online? or would i have to spoof the model info and serial of the modem i wanna clone? thanx drew u saved me some time and headaches RE: Error Meanings - drewmerc - 04-01-2011 thats a question only you can answer it may work or you'll get Notice M572.0 Neg Or Bad Reg Rsp it your logs RE: Error Meanings - bigdaddyzz - 04-01-2011 hey drew thnx again for your help ill try it out |
