Both modems stopped working on Charter

I have two haxorware SB5101 modems that have been working fine with Charter for several years (in separate houses).

Yesterday both stopped working so I am guessing Charter changed something. It says "ranging complete" but fails at IP connectivity, then goes back to ranging againi. I also have standard issue modems from Charter in both houses and they still work.

Has anyone else in California / Inland Empire ad similar problems?

I haven't looked at the haxorware in years, but I used what was called "Charter ultimate config" file.

I changed BPI to Docsis 1.1, and remove the "Charter Ultimate Config" file and it works now.

anyone willing to throw me a bone. Joined the party really late. Using what I learned from the forums with the public information available, but cant seem to make progress.

Mine started this yesterday. I have a sb6141 and a sb5101. Cant get neither online now. Im thinking they finally got to my neck of the woods. Prior, i was able to force any config. Now, the only way my modems will get and ip and connect is by enabling bpi and letting it autoserve the config which doesnt do me any good bc that just gives me the charter page config.

Seems they got mine last night as well 8/11/2016. If anyone has certs for a 6120 they are willing to share for the hky/nc area please hit me up.

you need certs and matching mac. Some say fastcert should work, but using the community strings in the config file and default port or 161 or 162, I have not had any modem respond.
