RE: Factory mode tool - shanghairen - 29-05-2009 goog ok RE: Factory mode tool - hman - 08-07-2009 Raj, they posted your tool on http://www.theoryshare.com/downloads/Cable-Modem-Modification-Files-and-Programs/ RE: Factory mode tool - sbhcar - 18-07-2009 Hi, Update: see Update towards end of post Every time I try to enable factory mode I receive an error msg that the program has to close. Error is: Quote:AppName: factorytool.exe AppVer: 1.0.0.1 ModName: factorytool.exe Tool correctly reads the Modem HFC MAC when "Get from SNMP" button pressed SNMP port field shows 161 Community shows public Modem: SB4100i Win XP Pro SP2 MS C++ installed IP address set to 192.168.100.10 If I try any of the "get" buttons I receive Quote:SNMP: No such name I've attached the error log file. How do I stop the crashes when trying to enable factory mode? Thanks Update: From another forum: FactoryTool needs to be run in Win98/Me Compatability mode. That worked, but did not fully solve the problem. The SB4100i will now go into Factory Mode. However, still unable to Get or Set any details. Set HFC mac either displays a time out error or the Error getting HFC MAC SNMP: No such name error. Reading other forums I began to wonder if the "comunity string" was not public. This modem was purchased and used in Madeira, so Portugal Telecom may have installed a differnt config file. I downloaded vulture ware docsis editor, however, I don't know how to "read/copy" the config file from the modem to PC. Anyone able to tell me please? Next, given the above, thought I'd see what happens with a UK supplied SB5100i It works! Quote:Setting Static IP to 192.168.100.10 Now, I didn't see any of the TFTPD msgs on the 4100i, also the 4100i kept releasing the network connection once Factory Mode was set. It then renewed the connection, but Factory mode was then off again. Consequently, I believe the config file on the Portugese SB4100i may be the problem. Would be much appreciated if somone would post how to read this so I can check the docsDevNmAccessCommunity string. Cheers PS: I'm posting this on SBHacker too now I've made some progress. RE: Factory mode tool - Whenzir - 22-10-2009 I could rather the procedure you give to me. I hope i don't encountered any errors or problems. _________________ ADT Home Security RE: Factory mode tool - Time2Play - 06-12-2009 does this program work with ambits? |
