hey, first time here
I was wondering what the difference is with a 5102 cfg in regards to where certs reside in memory
They seem to be offset in regards to where they're found in a 5102 compared to a 5101. The size of cfg is double the size, 64kb compared to 5100 and 5101s having 32kb cfg.
I tried searching for them viewing hex, but I'm not sure where they start and end exactly.

Programs needed Toms Jtag utility and cmnonexp101.exe (search they are here somewhere)

Connect your modem and jtag to your computer and open toms jtag utility Then type in detect.

Then you need to enter tablist into the box at the bottom of the program. This should diplay all the sections of your modems memory

The part we are interested in is the CFG part as this contains the cable modem certificates
so type getram CFG into the program. After a few seconds it should display getram: Complete as shown in the pic below.

We have now copied the file from the modems ram into your computers ram. The next thing we need to do is save this as a file so enter the command
save CFG
Make sure you save the file in the same directory as your cmnonxp101.exe file.
Now we need to open up a dos window and browse to where you saved cmnonxp101.exe eg C:\
and enter cmnonexp101.exe -e -f nonvol.bin
[Image: keTiE.jpg]

This should now extract all the certificates to your computer
[Image: UOGEC.jpg]

now browse to the directory where you ran cmnonexp101 from an there should be all your cable modem certificates

I know this is a quite newbie question, but I did spend like 2 hours searching toms jtag utility v1.3, I tried this forum and google,  no luck.

Would you provide a download link? thanks in advance!
