if you have access to the haxors web pages just change it

if not dump the flash with jtag and search the dump with a hex editor looking for the word "password" as the actual password will be written after it

i have no idea about the 2000 miles, i know here it would not work but as memory serves it may do for you
before the new security in america you could take a mac from any part of the network and use it on the other side of the country so it may be same with certs

Perhaps there's new modem software (1.1 rev32?) that allows bpi+ / certificate management.. because even after extracting a sub'd modem's digital certificate with cmnonxp101.exe, don't you still need to flash it to your own haxorware'd modem in some compatible format?

More importantly though, it would seem the logistics of having physical access to open a legit (high speed) sub'd modem (of various brands) to get to the jtag & thus certificate, should be impossible for most. True?

It would seem to me that at best this will be used between people wanting to share a high-speed account.

Snoop,

I may not know much, but both your posts make no sense. Haxorware has a user friendly GUI which makes it easy to transfer the certs individually or just by dumping the whole "CGF"/non-vol section on it. All it takes is a file transfer transaction from your pc to the modem with Haxorware on it.

concaclo,

A TWC mac from 2000miles away from you will NOT work...too far. A mac within 150miles is about the max. that has worked for me. In regards to TWC, the nodes can widely vary in security protocols from one neighborhood to the next.
