RCN VOIP ARRIS SB5101 PROVISION
#1
Ok so after a week of trying to figure things pit for testing I am asking for a pros help. I have internet and VOIP from RCN in NYC. I added the EMAC and CMAC to the SB5101 from the ARRIS and bpi+ 1.1 set. I get online but after a few min my web traffic is redirected to a RCN modem setup page as seen bellow. Any reason why I am getting this? Thanks again.

Welcome to RCN's High-Speed Cable Modem Set Up

These pages will enable you to set up a cable modem for RCN's high-speed Internet service.

To start, double-check to ensure that your cable modem meets the RCN cable modem requirements for the service you've signed up for, then select the appropriate option below and click "Go". If you continually receive this page after setting up your modem, please contact RCN Technical Support at 1-866-TECH-RCN to rsolve the issue.

I am a current RCN cable modem customer who wants to exchange my existing RCN cable modem with a modem of my own. Note: Customers with RCN Home Networking service or RCN Digital Phone service cannot use their own modem.

I am an RCN Technician setting up a new customer's cable modem.

I am an RCN customer who does not currently have high-speed data service.

damn that hurt my head looking at that (looking because i dont really read posts, i just scan for the problem)
i saw the line web page below but still it never clicked in my head but lets forget my fallacies

no idea who or what RCN is but i see no mention of certs so i guess this is your problem
if you watch your telnet output after startup you'll see your modem get a first config with a low timeout and no security then after the timeout you'll get a new config with d2 security
