Certificate Help

OK where exactly can I find certificates? I have "no clue" where to find them I've been reading and searching throughout the whole internet and I can't get a straight forward answer on what they are and where I can find them. I am planning to go outside my node and sniff up some macs because the new security hit my area but people say that the macs you sniff won't work unless you have a proper cert with it. BTW I have comcast. Some screenshots would be marvelous. A link a tut anything just don't tell me to read BECAUSE I'VE READ ENOUGH and haven't found jack squat on no site.

you could use a cert grabber but this is dependant on snmp being enabled on your network
the other way of getting them is extract them from a subbed modem http://www.psptron.com/spoof.htm

OK I tried to google it but I can't seem to see it in the first page I typed "cert grabber"; indeed I tried to go to the other sites I go to sbhacker.net and *****.net and no luck
