Need help from newbie
#1
Hi everyone
I'm using the internet package from TWC (Spectrum now) and I have the modem Motorola SB5101 that has been modified/hacked and the speed can go up 15Mbps. I really want to learn how to make it faster so it would be great if someone can teach me step by step cause I don't know at all. I would be appreciated for your help. I'm leaving in OC CA so please help me. Do we have some solution can make speed about 100 mbps? please be advised

Thanks Heart

lol...

The SB5101 is a DOCSIS 2.0 modem, which can carry about 38Mbps at maximum. So, you're not going to see 100Mbps speeds on it.

good luck with the rest of this though, Heart.

Call your ISP and request for a 100mbps plan and modem.

You will just have to keep bugging OC.
I would definitely help you, but I haven't been able to get my own
test modem going for 2 or 3 years now. Keep checking back here.
I am sure OC will open up eventually.
Hopefully before fat-boy Kim sends one of his test missiles over....
