hold the reset button and then plug it in, if that fails flip the switches and try again

I tried it an switched the switches every way and it still blinks do I need a tftp set up

let me see if I understand @Andrew956 ...

Do you have your FCUSB with problems to recognize?
You can do the following:

° lower the switch in bootloader mode, there you have an example

° press the bootloader button with the fcusb obviously connected, no matter if the software is not open.
° open any version of the Flashcatusb software [compatible with the pcb version of fcusb classic]
° click AVR Firmware and Load File
° select fw FCUSB.CLASSIC.x.xx.PCBx.x.hex compatible with your version of Flascatusb classic.
° click Program
° after it is programmed, click on Start Application
