connection problem

Hi Guys, I got The Modem to work and all is good, the olny problem i have is on my laptop i can not connect too net for somereson?
i can get on too the 192 page only when i change the connection setting on pc to 192.100 etc,
on hax page all is good, the modem is good as im using it now, even in CMD all is good, but as soon as i cahnge to pc settings Tcp/ip back to obtain auto
the pc says im connected but can not get on net or even hax page,
ive rebooted modem unpluged etc for a few mins but still no joy
any idea guys waht it could be? Cheers

it's the mac on your laptop (dont confuse it with the mac on your modem)
anyways when you swap from a desktop to the laptop turn off the modem for 5 mins so the isp computers have time to forget your old desktop mac
or for a dirty fix use smac to change the laptop mac to match the desktop mac (but if you ever get a router remember to change one of the macs or you'll confuse the shit out of the router)

All sorted now,
i unpluged modem from main cable and power for 5 mins then
just left on for half an hour on auto find in tcp and it came bk on.
