Sb5120
#1
Hi All,
I just got the SB5120 -- Somehow it works fine (connect direct to the computer) and I was able to go to 192.168.100.1 I can see the configuration manager page. So it work fine without to connect to the router. But when I connnect it via Netgear Wndr3500 with dd-wrt, it did not able to bring up the firefox/IE. I have used another router but the problem is not change. What have I do wrong? Is it my Sb5120 premod or not? why? Any ideas?
Thank you in advance.

set it up so you can connect to google without the router
then plug in the router and see if you can get to google again
if you can do both and still not get to the modem gui with the router
dd-wrt will be blocking local addresses on the wan port

Hi drewmerc,
I connect the modem directly to the pc -- everything work fine (Firefox/IE/google). It did not work when I connect to the router -- I have tried with several routers but the issue is not fix. I went thru some infos on other web pages and suggested to disable the DNS. It is did not make any sense to me. How can u get IP address without the DNS. Any ideas or suggestions.
Thank you in advance.

I'm having same problem and did the above but the problem remains.
Tried reset the router, clone the computer mac, power off ...
Any other idea? Again, plug the computer directly to the modem is OK ...
Sorry if I'm hijacking.
Thanks,
