By that you mean you're not getting a public IP? You have a lot to read dude! South Florida has a high TOS & therefore the security is tight. There are no dns bypass or scan a different node mac magic trick anymore. In all honesty, you will have to be well versed in DOCSIS in order to find an exploit in your node. It took me a lot of reading & re-reading several Cisco specifications pdf's to find what actually works & stay working.

You should have a ligit sub (like all good testers) because you will have to spend lots of time at the Cisco site. Don't start asking for a step by step guide so you can get back to watching porn. It will take several months of research couple by lots of trial by error before you find a hole.

You can say that again!!! Through my nephew I met several defcon wannabes hackers that operate low-key but efficiently in SoFla. I mean they had modems still operating with dns re-direct, old ass SB4200's and the one that caught my eye was the router spoofing method. I had limited interaction because obviously they didn't want me to see what they were doing but I think it is just a script running on a micro dd-wrt in a wrt54gV1. Kinda like what Goofather's xx-client is doing (spoofing suns servers) but this script is spoofing the cm itself. I met a guy in Cable Foro that told it is possible to spoof a specific modem with any type of openwrt firm with the right script. Of course, he wouldn't elaborate the inner workings of what's in the script????
