#1 did you make a back up of your unit before making modifications?
you will need the bin, after you are able to debrick it.
#2 I have debricked this unit using the Poke method that is used
to unbrick the sb5100
Yes, you will need to solder 8 pins into unit. Just get some solder
wick, and remove the current solder. Then solder your new pins.

usb serial cables are very cheep on ebay about $2 that should be able to fix it, if you want to go that way
another way is to get a solder sucker to clear out the holes (depends on how good you are at soldering)
and the last way is just solder some short wires to the solder points (you can do this on the backside as it's easier) and shove the wires into the jtag connector

there is the address of the usb adapter i got. problem is it basically says the same as the method started saying using the ethernet cable method. connection timed out. it didnt start saying that until i tried to upgrade from the file i had installed.at first haxor was there because i was able to connect and go to all the different pages.i have no idea whats happening now.it wont see the modem with usb or ethernet cable either one.please someone help me figure this out.remember there was a time when you were a beginner too.i installed haxor before using jtag when i first joined.now this.i tried telenet and putty both to no avail and im pulling my hair out. ps using ethernet didnt give a chance to backup but i have another modem i can get one from if i get this figured out.
