Ok friends sorry for this ..I am working and studying Der's Ebook (pages 42,67......)and I am trying to analyze with whatever I have in hand ...I need to understand the telnet log ..well I tried to login into modem and I saw the messages ...

Config file was read! IP Initialization completed...
MAX CPE per CM is being set to 32
Time Of Day completed...

Logging event: Neg Or Bad Reg Rsp - Reinitialize MAC...
Deleting DOCSIS 1.0 CoS Settings for SID 0x220
0x0005c2d8 [CmDocsisCtlThread] BcmDocsisCmHalIf:Big GrineleteAllServiceFlows: (DOCSIS
CableModem HalIf) Deleting all Upstream and Downstream Service Flows, along with associated Classifiers and PHS rules...
Stopping DHCP/ToD/TFTP (client requested)...
The ToD thread was stopped.

The status of the modem while registering it on CMTS is "waiting" and this could be the reason ..I am not able to register it on server..

Status for everything else shows as done ..I am able to receive the config file and my own config file is autoserved ..Security negotiation status is also done ....but the scanning again starts and this goes into a loop

Yeah it would be certainly too hard but theres nothing wrong for an average guy like me to learn and implement ...I guess that's the reason everyone is here for...

Thanks and please PM to me if you don't like to post here as a reply

Thanks again

that is your response from the ctms simply put it's saying no, and your modems response to that is

Code:
0x0005c2d8 [CmDocsisCtlThread] BcmDocsisCmHalIf::DeleteAllServiceFlows: (DOCSIS
CableModem HalIf) Deleting all Upstream and Downstream Service Flows, along with associated Classifiers and PHS rules...

without the rest of the telnet log we can only guess why but i'll bet all my money (£3.14 damn i'm skint) that it is bpi

There are no tutorials friend as that would allow any ISP the chance to "fix" what works...

Your in a BPI + forced area..

Ok Bro but what about Certs ...I guess I had just flashed a sub without even thinking about it ....Do you think installing the certs would help..Sorry about being so naive ..thought BPI bypass would help but it didn't

Thanks

BPI Bypass is long gone on many D2 & D3 Systems...

BPI + is VeriSign certificates, but your NODE is closed and nothing, short of a TELNET trick will work..

Only telnet will help you now. You need to study a sub logon to find out what you are missing to get past the closed node. It's a total pita to do....trust me. Oh yeah, if you gt it working..do not log on to ***** with it....lol. it'll die in hours.

(19-01-2012, 09:56 AM)sayonee Wrote: Hello there I am trying to connect to the internet using a DPC2100R2( Scientific Atlanta)haxorware installed modem.I have successfully uploaded the config file with the desired Download & Upload speeds.

But if I try connecting to the internet it fails.I have tried to access the information from the overview link available from the URL- http://192.168.100.1 and I get messages like trying..scanning... and eventually the internet just doesn't work.

Is there a way the ISP can find out about the firmware in the modem and is there a way the ISP can come to know the make of the modem??

If I try deleting the haxorware config file and the autoserve config file then, the new config file obtained from the ISP server contains the old default values and the modem works and I am able to connect to the Internet.

But as just described above If I try uploading my own modified config file the modem just fails to connect to the internet!!

Is there anything that I am missing?? about how to correctly load the config file?? or any other setting in Haxorware??. I was able to connect to the Internet using my own config file for almost 6 months, but now since I had disconnected the Internet this issue has come up....

Please let me know if there is a way to put the modem back online using the modified config file.

Thanks

You are in BPI + with tftp enforce now. So you cannot anymore force your own faster config. I believe what you have now is just your normal tier that is sub to that modem mac address, if it's even your own sub. If you want to have faster speed , then you need to pay more to have faster speed or you need to look for faster prov cert not from your node but near you.
