Can the Bus Blaster read and write to Xbox 360 nand? Have you done the reset glitch yet drewmerc? I might try it now that theres custom dash available for slim and phat models..

i was given the source to a program for the ft2232 just a few months back never did anything with it (i'd have to mooch though twitter to find it again as twitters search sucks) for xbox nand dumping, so yes it can, but the biggest failing of the busblaster is it's experimental, if your lucky somebody will have done it before if not you have to learn how to do it yourself (this is the bit i like so it does not bother me at all)

as i'm writing this post i have a 360 in front of me i'm going to dump the nand and install a glitch chip for the first time(dumping with a blackcat usb because i have a diagram)

nice...let me know how it goes. I have a slim and phat model i would like to test out. BTW do you have a good 2mb of DPC2100r2? I bricked one and I cant unbrick it for some reason. Ive done it many times in the past but not this one. Im using usbnt ldram 9fc00000 command, do i use firmware or 2mb backup.bin for the target? 9fc00000 (select file) sprogram 9fc00000 200000 thanks

it's going badly lol but i'm guess it me doing something wrong, could not get the blackcat usb to dump it, was given 2 test versions to test by the dev (the only xbox version blackcat had not been tested on was mine just my luck)
so i made a simple parallel port and nand pro reports could not detect flash controller (same error as the blackcat tho the blackcat did report my console version)

and thats basicly where i'm up to, now to do lots of reading to find my answer

NT works to read and write to the Xbox nand. I havent tried the reset glitch yet maybe this weekend

lol an NT dont own one, i had an old usbjtag but stood on it, no way i'm paying $60 as i already have 4 different types of jtags, 3 spi flashers, and a universal programmer, only 2 are nand compatible and none are working with this damn xbox, borrowing another xbox tomorrow to see if i can dump that
i really cant believe i'm stuck on step fucking 1 of glitching an xbox, i consider myself to be of reasonable intelligence, ok i'm a bit of an idiot sometimes but still i can normally get shit to work but this, this is upsetting, come on i hacked my first modem quicker than this and that was back when there were no real documents on doing this (sa dpx100 dumped the eeprom changed the mac to one i copied from the bottom of a friends modem and bingo i was online)

If its an issue with detected the nand than its your wires some bad. I read/write to nand fine the first couple of xboxes. Some time later i tried programming another and i had problems I was beating my head, turns out the wires I was using were different from the previous ones I used. I was pissed but that was the issue the "WIRES"

the type of wire that you use does make a difference, but I was referring to a possible loose or broken wire that can cause problems when connecting to a target.
