another certs question

so i was able to successfully clone my modem to another 5101, my question is, is it possible to edit the cert from my subbed modem so that i can use a different mac on the other modem.? because the modem only works with the subbed modems mac and certs, i have another subbed mac but do not have the certs for that specific modem.

You CANNOT have both the subbed and cloned modem operational in the same node, nor can you easily edit the the certs. The certs are encrypted.

so if i understand this correctly, the only way to get a modem online is to know someone with a subbed modem and have access to it and get their certs and clone their modem. ? how do people who dont know anyone in the areas get certs and macs? without having access to the subbed modem?

learn how to remove viruses and spyware people will let you do whatever you want as long as they see an effect and nothing shows a greater effect than removing spyware also run ccleaner on there computer all this while socialising next step ask them when was the last time they dusted the inside of there computer, open the computer and show them the dust and clean that shit out

do you think that while your doing all of the above they will notice you cracking open the modem and dumping it? practice dumping modems i can open and dump most modems in under 2 minutes, all your doing is bait and switch (assuming people dont trust you with computers and will let you do what the fuck you want anyways like me)

drew that is one of the most retarded posts i've seen yet. make friends with internet so you can fix their computers but steal their internet. lol. first of all, there are a lot of modems out there running sigma or sb5100mod that have factory mibs on and are using valid certs. second, there are at least 2 ways to get a subbed modem to show factory mibs. dumping a friends modem is just stupid.

tho for the record i do get my backup certs from friends modems (i also use my own)
whats the cable company going to do really? how can they prove criminal intent
my friends will just deny everything, i'm upfront to my friends about what i am doing and honestly they dont care, the only thing the cable co can do is cancel the service (i dont live in a place with only 1 isp)

tell me really what is going to happen to the people that you get certs from via snmp (or whatever) these people you dont know, how is it any different to me getting mine from people i do know

well, my main concern with MY internet is stealth. I dont want anyone to know who I am, so I wouldn't want to use A friends internet. main reason is downloading torrents/movies/etc... my dad rarely downloads a torrent, and I used to download non stop and he got a letter from warner bros or something for downloading a CAM rip he didn't even watch. I dont need big corps threatening me when I file share... I dont really share either, i download as fast as i can and limit my upload, once the torrents are done I shut it off. I know I'm bad, booo hooo, but still I dont need problems... but now with netflix and others there is rarely the need to be anonymous, but still I'd just rather be hidden.... oh and if you think the government is NOT watching you and willing to go after you for stuff you do online in privacy, you are totally wrong. they will be more than happy to pull up the stuff you do online and go after any citizen! this country is getting messed up, every right is being trampled on!
