Have a 5101 with H1.39 that only connect directly to the computer working fine that way. When I try connection with a Linksys router won't give me internet signal. Used to be working fine and other modem worked fine with that particular router. Any communication protocol that is missing ? Any suggestion ? Appreciated in advanced.

when the routers connected can you still see haxorware's webpage?
i'm guess it's just the fact that you have not spoofed your nic mac to the router (this has nothing to do with the modem mac's)

i'm confused now so the modem on it's own works, but not with the router
yet the router with a different modem also works
could still be the pc nic spoof and i'm still leaning that way, and as you have not said you have tried changing the mac on the router i'll stick with that (for now)

That is exactly right ... "the modem on it's own works, but not with the router, yet the router with a different modem also works" and yes, I have change the macs numerous times with the same result. Adding to the weirdness this modem was working fine with the same router two days ago. I also tried on another computer with a Linksys router and got the same results. Connection directly, NO connection thru Linksys router.

Just for the record turn out to be a contact issue at the modem ethernet port. Problem solved.
