Is that the firmware upgrade? if so i tried that and it says that its not a valid firmware upgrade when i try to upload the fullflash.bin, and dus it matter if there to different versions of haxorware the Webby has r32 and ambit has r39? cheers

yes you can downgrade but as always make a backup first and if you brick just reflash with your spi programmer
this is what i'd do dump yours from gui dump his from gui use ambit firmware tools (or what ever they are called)
and cut the bootloader from yours and put the bootloader on his dump then flash to yours (no programmer needed)

how do i put the fullflash.bin to the modem with GUI when i try firmware upgrade it says not valid firmware, how would i get hes bootloader when its a Webstar ? sorry if its a n00b question

how do i cut the 2mb fullflash up to get hes bootloader, ive tried E08CO10 Toolkit if thats what you ment but just cant suss it ? please help

use the usbjtag app (you dont need a usbjtag, just the app)

ldram 9fc00000 <- select 2mb dump
ldram boot <- load bootloader (i cant be bothered rereading so this will be what ever bootloader you need)
save 9fc00000 200000

now you have 2mb dump with bootloader you picked.

this may also work with toms jtag utility but never tryed it

the problems not from modems its due to macs changing and doc sis being upgraded to 2.0 or 2.1 until theres a fix the only mac addresses that i know work are 00d0 im in derby area only get up to 2mb though until theres a new firmware with 2.0 or 2.1 im afraid you will have to bare with it mate well thats as far as what is being said i know its not proven yet though

if its not your theory is wrong (if it is FFFFFFFFFFuuuuuuuuuu)

no its not wrong my theory is correct check up with everyone on wizardmods and all i did if you get it stuck at registration complete was get the non vol from a working modem if you have one or know someone in your area that does and get the nonvol dump and upload to yours as long as you change your mac address you shud be up and running in 10 minutes and its an ambit 250 dump not 120
