sb5101 cert copy
#1
Hi folks,
I have an sb5101. And it's been a while since I last used my usbjtag.

My questions:

To copy from a stock SB5101 (supplied by local cable company) i must:
open usbjtag
and enter these commands:

getram cfg
save cfg

hook up my personal modem, I must enter:
ldram cfg (select extracted cfg.bin)
program cfg

is that correct?

I did this but my modem is not cloning. What I noticed is that even after i program the cfg.bin file onto my modem, my mac address in Haxorware doesn't change, even if I press COPY FROM CERTIFICATE button

Any idea on what could be wrong?

Thanks guys!!

Thanks Modembricker but I think i see a problem in the link you sent me.
It says:

detect
getram 9fc00000 200000
ldram cfg (select your nonvol.cfg)
program

i did all of that except in the last line i put:
program cfg

I thought i simply had to do this:
getram CFG
save CFG

ldram CFG
program CFG

any other ideas?
thanks again

YES, I did this:
getram 9fc00000 20000
save 9fc00000

this created a 2mb backup.

is there any way I could extract the certs from the 2mb file?

Cheers

Yeah I think you need NonVol explorer or something like that. I never used it because I have tens of thousands of certs... lol

load hax over the stock bin and download each key individually from the bpi page...so easy. I've never gotten cmnovol to work for me.

Thanks guys!
I got it to work with this:

usbjtag 5101 cert copy procedure

Copy from Source modem:

detect
getram 9fc00000 200000
save cfg

copy cert to blank modem:

detect
getram 9fc00000 200000
ldram cfg (select your nonvol.cfg)
program cfg

Thanks again guys!
