Help getting Online
#1
Hi. I finally got my modem. SB5101 from motomodz.
I connected the modded modem and can't get online. I sniff some mac using DHCP.
I figure perhaps I'm approaching thing in the wrong direction. I read some tutorial from sbhacker but everything seems extremely blank atm. (lack of knowledge)
My isp is GRU.net

What are my step after connecting the modem?

wow write it twice lol
log into the modem set the frequacy to match your subbed modem
change the mac and reboot it preferably useing a working docsis 1.0 mac
this should get you online with all defaults then you can play with the settings
maybe posting the event log will help to

your modem is fine then you can try bruteforcing with solsters sniffer (may work or not on your network), trade, war driving or snmp
