Smartphones, anyone?
#1
My two year upgrade just came around and I went from an LG Optimus S running Android 2.2 to an iPhone 4 (not 4S). I sold my iPod Touch 4G over a year ago running iOS 4.2. Even though it's been over a year and the iPhone is on iOS 6.1, it's still the same! Rolleyes

I seriously don't get why people lose their shit over Apple products. In the case of the iPhone, it's an unfortunate truth that jailbreaking it is mandatory for it to be even half as handy as their Android counterparts. Oh, but fear not, they did something different with the iPhone 5. A longer screen... Rolleyes
But I suppose that's the after effects of someone dropping a box of Viagra into the mix to spice things up, no?

Now, this isn't a complaint by any means; this post is more of an observation with an unavoidable rant. I got the iPhone 4 mainly because of it's native music app's song organization, and I do genuinely enjoy the iPhone 4 (provided it being jailbroken). A few apps I'm glad to have again are Zombie Gunship, Resounder (custom soundboard app), and I Am T-Pain (gotta have my auto-tune xD). And is it just me, or does mobile gaming in general suck? By mobile gaming I mean smartphone/tablet, not handhelds like the PSP, you know, where all the good games are Big Grin

So what smartphones are you all using?

Damn right it can make calls where other phones can't. I had one of the first bag phones. And I could talk just about everywhere and never lose signal. The good old analog cell phone! LOL

^Now that looks awesome.

Anyone ever see that Evangelion SH-06D that is exclusive to Japan only? The phone itself is based around the Neon Genesis Evangelion anime. There's probably an export company that sells these.

Ok.. Now I wished I had gotten an Android phone..

I used SharePod (3rd party program) to copy music from my iPhone 4 to laptop, and I notice 15 songs that I had deleted, but for some reason are still listed on the iPhone. So I use SharePod to delete the entries, and now iTunes claims it can't read the contents of the iPhone and that it has to be restored.

This is what happens when Apple gets extremely anal about 3rd party support, equips a dictatorship attitude towards their devices, and makes simple things difficult. Perhaps if iOS were more of an open platform out-of-box, we would see less trivial issues creating huge problems.
