Is this A VER 7 or VER 8 Modem that you dumped it from?

thanks

What do the "VER" reference? I've seen only up to a REV 4 PCB on 6141s.

Version number in the firmware, You can't write Version 8 onto a version 7 board and vise versa it will not Lock the bonding channels signal as they have different tuner boards. So if you goto the 192.168.100.1 and find the version number in the firmware you can tell what version you have. Also you can tell by the motorola logo on front of the modem as well, as they both look different.

Can you post a picture of a VER 7 or 8 board? I've only ever seen up to REV 4 on the PCB.

I gave you all the info needed to figure out which version you may have.

I'm not questioning your method. I'm questioning that a REV 7 or 8 PCB actually exists. I've bought a lot of them (Motorola and Arris) and never seen above REV 4. Hence, my request for a picture from you of your PCB which shows REV 7/8 Smile.

LOL you too funny dude, I never said REV, I said Ver. Meaning Version number 7 and 8, only way to find out is to go to 192.168.100.1 and look for the Version 7 or 8.

This photo is Version 8

you will see the Motorola Logo on top of the Version 7 Models and see the Arris logo on top of version 8

The same. set auto config to sb6141 and hit apply. you'll see the tuner/pga on the bottom updated for you.

Thanks, I did try it but it looks like for VERSION 8, the default Tuner CFG = MXL261 x2 and the PGA Type = MT1570 does not work. It cannot lock into channels.
