You can't connect to the same head end with the mac you spoofed, the ISP will never enable traffic with the modem and it will just sit there and cycle. also, when a mac is registered it is associated with a head end, if you take a registered modem to a different head it won't be authorized in that area, and thus won't boot up. the only way to make this work is to physicly cut the cable going to the house the real modem is in then log on with your spoofed mac back at your house Angry but thats just evil. What I would do if you want to mask your true mac is just increase it's hex value incrementaly until you can boot up and get traffic enabled, from there you would need to change your DNS ect to get a connection.
