Thank you for the link, at the moment I am trying method 2 since that seems to require buying nothing, but if all else fails I will buy anything that is necessary. I appreciate your patience through all of this.

I can't connect with method 2 via Putty. it says "connection closed by remote host"

I assume I will have to buy that adapter, that is completely fine. I am interested in learning about this
