power cord on modem plugged in ? eithernet cable plugged in? I am not being lazy I have tried to find all this out but there is no tutorial that gets this basic for a noob at least i havent found one.I appreciate the help drewmerc I assumed it connected through tcp not as a serial since it went through the usb port.I may get this fixed yet,As an afterthought I cannot connect to it at http://192.168.100.1/ when i configure tcp properties to 192.168.100.10 and http://192.168.100.1/ either it did until i tried to upload the update through the page in haxor.I dont know why it isnt being seen anymore.I will try putty again using the com
