Dear All,
I've seen more than once on this forum the same, problem, but it seems that it is not exactly the same here.
I was at a friend place, in a really tiny city and he has a thomson modem. I took my sb5101 to try it on his line, but here is what I am getting:
In the telenet, I am getting:
If I ignore the T1, it hangs and doesn't try to get the UPSTREAM. I tried to take my friend's mac address (I changed the vendor, serial, etc), and I also tried with different mac addresses. I almost bruteforced all possible configuration, BPI disable / enabled / BPI+, etc.
I was wondering if it is not working because the sb5101 is *not* DOCSIS 3.0 compatible ? I don't see any special message in the logs, so I'm kind of lost. Note that I am pretty sure that the ISP doesn't use any big security and I am sure that the line works good, since my friend gets a pretty big signal.
