a friend gave me a few cets of d3 certs, whats the difference between them and the bpi1 certs i already have

Certs are certs

They are made at the factory when the cm is built. They are unique to that unit.

so can i use them on my SB5101, also its hard finding release notes for any firmware
basically where the hell can i find firmware info for this modem, i cant find firmware notes for any modem

also im not in a d3 area and "It's TW policy that there be no customer-owned D3 modems in the field." if not d3

No. The CMTS will definitely see that and you won't even get an ip

use them on a d3

so if there are no d3 cm's on t/w then why bother?

d3 certs will work on sb5101, and dpc2100 tested in twc
