flashing over serial port

hello i baught from ebay pci card lpt and blackcat cable but is not working modem must powered on right.
JTAG communication failure, check connection, JTAG interface, target power etc.

you cant flash a 5101 over serial (not without flashing a bootloader with jtag first)
you should not have been so cheep buying that pci card, should have spent a few bucks more and got a usb blackcat or some shit

Flashing the 5101 is in fact possible over serial, for serial is just another port of telnet, what you can do in telnet, can be done through serial, and when I did this, it was flash bootloader through blackcat, then use bootloader to tftp the desired firmware.. through serial. Not dissing the tut here, but those rather incorrect statement's to the contrary
