Can't begin to help you w/o a telnet bootlog. Could be anything, really.

did not work. funny cause I have net on my laptop and my kids ipad
but not the xbox even tho I go to the configure network and all my info is there

i have the same problem but only my internet works if i hook the modem straight to the computer but with the router it goes to the provisional page with that twc lady and it ask to call twc

Try changing or "cloning" the mac in the router.

so here what I did on the xbox go to
1.system
2.network settings
3.wired network
4.configure network
5.go down where it saids dns settings click on it
6.manual
7.primary dns 8.8.8.8
8.secondary dns 8.8.4.4
9. click done
10.click back and test xbox live and done
my kid is happy as hell

I had the same problem and "solved" it the same way(changing dns to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) . Only thing is when I'm using the internet on multiple devices at the same time, it goes pretty slow. It is pretty slow in general anyway even with only one device compared to how it was before. Using SB5101 btw.
