hi if anyone can help me id be sooooooo grateful, i had my ambit 250 going for a long time on the same mac and was spot on gettin 20 meg. now it only gets 10 and is a bad connection. i have tried loads of macs , configs, serversand nothing is working. i know the mac is good as i tried the same mac on a friends modem at mine and was gettin 20 meg and a decent connection. its proper blaggin my head so if anyone can help id realy apreciate it

how are you testing the speed of the mac as there is no real foolproof way, tho downloading from virgins newsgroups is a good place to try,
anyways what are the noise levels on yours and your friends modem thats the only thing i can think of that could change the speed in such a way (you may have a dodgy cable wire/filter or splitter)
