Motorola SB5100 Cable Modem Problem

I just got a used Motorola SB5100 Cable Modem from a friend. When I plugged all the cable (power,ethernet,coaxial) and quadruple checked it didn't Connect. The power and PC activity lights were on but the revive was just blinking. I've tried changing coaxial and computers but the receive button just keeps blinking.

I think you should to change your old cable Modem or tell your friend about this problem because he is know something about it and help you. And other way is that you should to buy a new modem.
