nice reply!!! hahhaha...and quick too..like i've said in many posts i AM a dumbass !! lol...totally new to this hobby although i've been doing sat's for years this is a whole new monster !! so was i mis informed? can i just continue on with what i was going to do?

this was my plan,,,i detected,read & saved my sb5101 using ujmodem..also i've gone to another part of town on a different nod and scanned for macs...so i was gonna put haxoware on image 0 & image 1....then go to the web interface to put in the new mac and disable the bpi..am i on the right track here? until someone told me i had to clone someone else's unit for shaw....blew all my plans and reading right outa the water...hahhaha

hook it up as the pic shows (pin 1 matching and you only use the first 10 dont worry about the rest)
then follow the 5100 to dump and flash

so i was about to attempt this modem last night and was on a mirc line and someone told me that because my only isp is shaw that i cannot do this the normal way?? is this true? anyone know?? man o man..just my luck...lol

really !!!! o man that's awesome !!! so i can just continue on with what i was going to do and follow the instructions that i said i was gonna do in the post before the one before this one??? lol...any other advice or recommedations???

flash it as long as you got a backup you have no worrys
(after backing it up open in a hex editor and make sure it's a true dump, look at other dumps to compare)

I don't know if anyone is following this thread or not...but a little update...I haven't tried to program this yet as i've pretty much been living in the hospital the past week or so....but i really do appreciate all the comments and help with this thread....so once i attempt this i'm sure i'll post more dumbass questions...hahahaha....thanks again everyone
