yep it'll work great (i used my own home made version of it) toms jtag utility for jtag and flashrom for spi

i built mine a few years back when you could not buy a cheap usbjtag, if it was now i'd just buy a tiao lite http://www.diygadget.com/tiao-usb-multi-...erial.html

development stopped, tho for the record the haxormatic spi software will work with the above (if you can find it)
