i dont know anything about comcast but on my network it makes no difference (in fact it's better if your subbed modem is d2 as it's easyer to extract the certs from it)

Ok and can you tell me where can i get the certificats from yesterday i borrowed my neighbors modem with different certs and it was a lot faster he actually had 22 mbs and mine is the same modem sb5101 with diff certs and is a lot slower i think changing the certs might solve the problem if you can please tell me where i can get the certs thanks.
