With all talk about mac cloning sw that vermin are supposed to be using, the other day I tried a old mac I had and got online. I checked in ipconfig/all and saw that it had given me a lease for 1 hour. I also noticed that the DNS server name was cable.verminmedia.net. Which I havent't noticed before. Anyway I rebooted and it gave me a new lease lasting just over a week. So I left it and low and behold it reverted and went off in just an hour. But there were no errors showing in event log. it just starting the ranging crap. Are we any near to finding a way around this. I remember an old post about forcing dns setting. But can't find it now. Would that work?
