Does Mot SB work my isp network when isp have banned Motorala

I want to get haxoware modem but currently my cable isp is banned many companys modems including motorola and give me for rent EPC2100R2
This is working good in their cable network but I don´t want to rent cose I do have Docsis2 modem.
I have actually 2 motorola Sb5101 modems but they did not work cose later I found out that isp is banning other company modems(what they don´t sell or rent) obviosly using mac.
Can I just use moded software to use some EPC mac to trick server and can get internet connection or I need to get some premoded EPC2100

how much do you save on a monthly bill by buying a modem and not renting one
just wondering cause in my country you have no choice, you pay your sub and you get the modem, hell if you try buying a legit modem on amazon it's say's not available in your country(you can get them on ebay tho)
but even if you do have one they wont let you use it, they tell you to bin it and send a new one out

rent is about 3 eur/month
the point is I want to update my sb5101 software to haxoware and use some epc mac to get it work with my isp so I don't need buy epc modem.

questiun is: will it work and is it worth to try? I need order serial connection cable to try
I think it will work but here are more experienced modem moding specialist who know it better

thats easy then just change to spoof to match a epc modem
