Scientific Atlanta 2100 cant get past ranging - TheCrazyAnimal - 19-08-2011
My Scientific Atlanta 2100 cant get past ranging between 12p.m and 5p.m
It's really annoying since I can't get online during those 5 hours. I'm a newbie so please help!

It is working at this time. It will usually start resetting itself during 12 and 5.

is your transmit/receive power levels fluctuating, compare your hacked modem to your subbed modem during times when it's working then do it again when not working

I'm so sorry i couldnt respond. But I noticed if i changed the upstream channel from 1 to 2, it would get past ranging and it would work for the rest of the day. Then the next day it would just reboot itself and it would go back to channel 1.

if it's rebooting it's the ctms giving you grace time
i dont even know if it's possible to force it to always be on channel 2 as i'm sure it's set via the config
writing a script to auto set it to channel 2 would not be that hard to write
