TFTP failed - configuration file NOT FOUND - illmatik - 10-11-2010

My haxorware modem has been working great for the longest time. This morning I noticed it was blinking on Online.

When I checked my logs I noticed I'm getting error TFTP failed - configuration file NOT FOUND. I read that this has something to do with TFTP Enforce.

Can someone be so kind as to enlighten me on how to figure out which config file and mac address I can use? I do have an actively subbed modem, how do I pull the information I need from that to put on my haxorware?

Edit: My Haxorware is an SB5101, my subscriber is an RCA and my ISP is Comcast.

thanks Smile

you never ever use your MAC or Certs from your subbed account

use the first 3 sets of numbers from the hfc mac and google "oui 00-11-22"
eg
00:18:68:12:34:56 (your hfc mac)
00:18:68 (the 3 numbers you want)
"oui 00-18-68" (this is what you enter into google)

first result http://standards.ieee.org/regauth/oui/oui.txt
search this doc (ctrl f) 00-18-68 results in this
Code:
00-18-68   (hex)        Scientific Atlanta, A Cisco Company
001868     (base 16)        Scientific Atlanta, A Cisco Company
                5030 Sugarloaf Parkway
                Lawrenceville GA 30044
                UNITED STATES

so what does this tell me and how does it help
well it tells me the mac is from an Scientific Atlanta modem so i guess i'll try and use configs that are for a sa modem maybe d11_m_dpc2505_showcase_c01.com (but at this point i have no idea if the modem is a dpc2505 or a dpc2200 but i'll just have to keep trying till i hit a config that matches)

dont know if the above will help but i found it interesting
