Online for only 5 minutes - SniperV - 18-07-2010
For some reason my modem I just got only stays online for 5 minutes or so then drops off. I am running 1.1 39. I have changed macs and configs. Been reading for over a week and still get the dame results. WTH is causing the problem? I have Cox and can't seem to pin down the cause. Thanks

do you have valid certs? if not disable bpi+ and use d10 config.
CVC validation failure means that the CVC data for the software update specified in the config file does not match that of the firmware currently installed on the modem.

Thanks, I don't think that I do have a valid cert. And for some reason I can't find a d10 config for Cox. Found some for Comcast lol. Not really sure how to obtain a valid cert either. Thanks for you help on this...

just seen i dont think your can force a config any more (may only be some areas)
what config you running?
from what i can tell the 1.1 configs are named the same as 1.0
VOS001_vm1.1_d.cfg changes to VOS001_vm1.0_d.cfg

Currently running this file here SLFR001_vm2.0_d.cfg with the matching mac also. I have tried several different macs and configs and get the same results...I have been playing with this for over a week. I have read till my eyes are bleeding. I really appreciate your help on this.

google shows nothing
renamed to SLFR001_vm1.0_d.cfg and SLFR001_vm1.1_d.cfg just says it's bpi related
so first thing i do is download the config and open it in vultureware and make sure the spoof matches whats in the config (if anything is in the config)
and play with the bpi
(if that fails try running without forcing a config and see how long that lasts

Nothing in the config. So I ran it without forcing and it ran for around 30 minutes then modem reboots and I lose connectivity, changed the mac also. getting closer..
