Something weird - maxspeed017 - 27-04-2014 Hello guys, something weird is going on and i just can't seem to understand it. I have like 4 testing modems. I have 1 which was up and running with a mac + certs since BPI+ is enabled in my area. Now a few days ago my modem went down. It seems to go online but a few seconds later it reboots. I keep getting this message. Received Response to Broadcast Maintenance Request, But no Unicas t Maintenance opportunities received - T4 timeout Logging event: Modem Is Shutting Down and Rebooting... So that modem keeps rebooting. Now the weird thing is that i took the same mac and certs and put it one of my other modem and it worked but the same thing started happening after about 2 days. Now i put it on my third modem and it is currently working also. Any thoughts as to what is happening? I have gotten lazy and haven't been keeping up since my testing days. On my first modem i enabled the ignore t4 station maintenance option and it fixed it for about a day but after that the modem would not go online, on the second modem that didn't work though. Any thoughts and help would be greatly appreciated. Anything i could read on ideas? anything would be helpful. RE: Something weird - southernyankey1970 - 27-04-2014 What are your signal levels? There's a new Sheriff in town! ISP updated the headend...Not a simple fix for this in my area... Hax is the weak link as Broadcast Maint is tripping you up.That is as far as I will say on this. RE: Something weird - southernyankey1970 - 29-04-2014 Edit.. LOL I got the same bs today on bizclass...I bought a new splitter. Issue fixed. Go figure RE: Something weird - KnoxK - 30-04-2014 Yeah those days of being a tech using signal testers to make sure proper signal comes through RE: Something weird - maxspeed017 - 30-04-2014 Interesting, i tried removing the splitter and hooking it up directly to the outside line with no luck. I'll try buying a splitter tomorrow. Another thing that is weird is that the modem only goes down around 8pm my time. In a few hours it comes back up again without any problems. I need to do more research. |
