Modem detection - oldhorse - 04-06-2013

Good day everyone. I have a question and I hope this is the right section to post a new thread about it.

I am aware that certain websites can detect your ISP, IP, OS, and other details about the user visiting the website. Some forum members even use a small badge in their signature that displays that information to anyone who is currently viewing the post.

My question is if there is the same kind of technology that can tell what modem is being used to access the website. For instance, if I am using WiFi using a cisco router that's connected to a Motorola SB5101, is there a website that can identify that I'm using that Motorola model?

Thank you in advance for any response.

Thank you for the response. I just visited their website and they have a lot of free tools. I'll read the descriptions to see which one can provide the information I need.

Hook your modem up to a router and try to walk it with Solarwinds, the tools are here on this site. Search my posts.
