TSOP Ambit 250 Dump - Cold_Fuzion - 17-04-2013
Hi, could anyone kindly link me to a working 250 dump, i have taken the chip off and programming using a labprog, i have used the 2mb dump with haxo but all i am getting is a single power light. and nothing over HT.

Thanks drew, i tried that file but still get the single power light, ill try resitting the chip.

my only other suggestion would be just flash the bootloader but the stock bootloader is silent
so try just flashing a bootloader from a 2100 or 5102, then connect a ttl cable and see if theres output if there is flash via ttl

Hi Drew, still no go, console still gives nothing and all i get is power+ethernet, tried 3 diff mods, when i flash with 250 restore on above link it bricks it, but ive noticed when trying to extract the file from the above link, it errors but still gives the file, is there any other dumps i could try? thanks

seeing as you know how to solder i tell you a better way get your hands on another modem any jtag one will do 5101/webby whatever
and hot swap the tsops and recover with jtag

simple desolder the tsop from the 5101, connect the jtag connect and the power but keep it unplugged (you really don't want to be banging the modem)
place the good tsop back on it's pads and power on, detect the modem in your chosen jtag program
quickly and carefully swap the tsop for your bad one, and write the flash
after that you should have 2 good tsop's

Personally,i'm too lazy for all that.5101's can be had here for 10 bucks. Easier to get another one. But I understand the determination! good job!
