I have comc@st i live in jackonville fl Im using. WEBSTAR 2100 modem
its a plug and play did not have to modit
also its ranto my router from port 1 to my satellite receiver sonicview360
i enter my code ip address and i get dns fail no matter
if i use 8.8.8.8, 75.75.75.75. can isp block a dns to go through

Did you call COMCAST and ask them if they block DNS re-routes?

I would call and ask as it seems your CMTS has been upgraded and you have no outside public IP. DNS re-directs are no longer parsed. Call COMCAST and ask for a service call. I have always felt if you wanted to use L3's DNS or Google or any other DNS, you should be able to..
