Need help - melonious - 29-07-2012 Long story short. I've been using charter for a while now using blackcat mod. Today I got the famous install page and my dumb roomate input in some information on the page. Now I cannot access the blackcat mac address change page which is the 198.168.100.1:1337. It says installing in progress everytime I try to go there. Anyone know how to fix this? I just need to go in there so I can change my mac address. Hope someone can help me out. RE: Need help - ABMJR - 29-07-2012 Maybe disconnect the cable, change the 1st CPE/NIC/MAC and start over..I have a feeling thats a CO-CVC firmware push. You maybe be done testing RE: Need help - melonious - 29-07-2012 can you please clarify a little please? I haven't been read a tutorial for a while so I am not sure what you mean by a CO-CVC firmware push. Also is there anyway to flash my modem without a jtag cable? I used to do it with a jtag cable with my old computer but I just found out that my new computer doesn't have the port for the jtag. RE: Need help - drewmerc - 29-07-2012 your done, game over sorry co-cvc is an update you need to take then reflash with jtag, after which you need to know a lot of telnet to get back online and nobody will write a tutorial on how to do it, well not the telnet bit anyways RE: Need help - melonious - 29-07-2012 so what really happens? Did my roommate screw me up? Also can't I just get another modem? RE: Need help - SlowGrind6 - 30-07-2012 (29-07-2012, 10:46 PM)melonious Wrote: so what really happens? Did my roommate screw me up? Also can't I just get another modem? Another modem won't do you any good...You will still be in the same boat you are now. RE: Need help - melonious - 30-07-2012 Any reason why this is? I have never heard of such a thing ever since I've been with haxorware forums. RE: Need help - drewmerc - 30-07-2012 isp's have updated the security they use to stop people getting free internet, it stop's 99% of freetards |
