Netgear CG814CCR v2 - saneblane - 21-04-2012 Hi i got a Netgear CG814CCR v2 cable modem. Last night i had a power outage and now when i put the modem on, the power light flashes, it blinks then all lights flash, then it turn off and repeats the cycle all over again. I am not able to get an IP adress or anything, so i can't communicate with the modem through the ethernet port. Is it possible to make an unbuffered cable for this modem, and if so, does anyone have the schematics they can share with me please, I would really appreciate it. Broadcom BCM3349KPBG. RE: Netgear CG814CCR v2 - drewmerc - 21-04-2012 flash it via serial/ttl cable unless your adept at modding toms flash.def's (tho i do believe you can back it up fine with toms, just not flash) RE: Netgear CG814CCR v2 - saneblane - 21-04-2012 (21-04-2012, 04:35 PM)drewmerc Wrote: flash it via serial/ttl cable unless your adept at modding toms flash.def's (tho i do believe you can back it up fine with toms, just not flash) Thank you for your reply sir. I am a noob to this so always assume i don't know anything. I have done fta and dishcard programming before but first time trying this for a modem. I am currently in a remote location so going to a store is not an option, although i can order it. Do you have a picture of the cable or a link so i can see what it looks like. Or if i can do one DIY, the schematics would be helpful, i have soldering iron and wires around. But would the cable in the picture work. http://www.ebay.com/itm/USB-2-0-to-UART-TTL-6PIN-Connector-Module-Serial-Converter-Buildin-in-CP2102-New-/150689787403?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2315cfae0b My computer doesn't have a serial port. Only USB.
