wireless router gives me unknown mac help! - mrpcx323 - 17-02-2012

well i have the motorola sb5101 running fine then one day all of a sudden via wireless it shows as if my mac address has been knocked out but this only happens when its connected wireless , but when i connected it directly via cat5 cable to my computer i get internet . does anyone know how to fix this ??

well it's not a haxorware problem, but anyways check your dchp settings on your wireless card

ok thanks ill try it out ^_^
but to mention i also activated 5 other modems for my friends and family
and also the same thing happen their internet works directly via cat 5 modem to desktop
but when they are on the web via wireless router on their laptops , pcs , cell phones via wifi they also get the time warner cable activation screen with unknown mac .
if any other tips to get wireless router up running thanks for the tips .

DNS should be auto and the MAC of the 1st CPE should be spoofed/used in the router directly after the cable modem
